The more cards you carry, the more things slip

Every card comes with its own annual fee date, its own dormancy clock, its own minimum spend window, and its own payment cycle. At 5 cards, you can keep it all in your head. At 10, you probably can't. At 20, something is always about to go wrong.

Annual fees you meant to downgrade

You had a plan for that card: call retention, negotiate, or product-change to a no-fee version before the fee posted. But with dozens of fee dates to track, this one slipped by. Now you're out $250 or spending 30 minutes on the phone trying to get it reversed.

Minimum spend deadlines that got away

You did the hard part. You applied, took the hard pull, got approved. Then another card's minimum spend overlapped, or life got busy, and the deadline passed. That signup bonus isn't coming back.

Dormant cards closed without warning

Issuers don't send you a reminder before they shut down an inactive account. If a card sits unused for roughly 12 months, it can just disappear, along with whatever credit history was attached to it. Across a large portfolio, it's easy for a card to go quiet without you realizing.

Payments that slip through the cracks

When you're paying 15 cards across 6 different issuers with different statement close dates and different autopay setups, one missed payment is almost inevitable. And it only takes one to trigger a late fee and a score hit.

Know exactly which cards need attention today

Sockdrawer watches every card in your portfolio and builds a task list from your data. When a card is approaching dormancy, you'll see it. When an annual fee is posting in 90 days, you'll get a prompt to decide: keep it, downgrade, or cancel. When a minimum spend deadline is closing in, you'll know how much you've spent and how much time is left. Each item has a priority level, and you can log a charge, mark a decision, or snooze it with one click.

Your whole portfolio, always current

Add every card you hold with the details that matter: issuer, network, last four, annual fee, credit limit, signup date, expiry, and last charge date. Sockdrawer tracks personal and business cards separately (and even lets you identify which business a card is for), shows issuer logos automatically, and lets you filter, sort, and switch between active and cancelled views. Whether a card is in your daily rotation or sitting in the sock drawer, it's tracked.

Track 5/24, Amex 2/90, and other velocity rules automatically

Sockdrawer calculates how many personal cards you've opened in the last 24 months and shows you exactly when each one falls off. If you're at 4/24 and a slot opens in three weeks, you'll know. You can also adjust the tracking window to monitor other issuer velocity rules like Amex's 2/90 (no more than 2 Amex cards in 90 days) or Citi's 1/8 and 2/65 rules.

That's less than the annual fee on any card in your portfolio. One caught dormancy warning or one cancelled-in-time annual fee pays for it.
